THE LEGENDARY PLASTIC DWARF BERSERKER REGIMENT
The Regiment That Set the Forums on Fire
If you ask the veterans of the battlefield,
they’ll speak of a legendary day...
The year was 2009.
By that time, the heroes of Avatars of War were already celebrated as iconic, independent old-school miniatures.
But Félix had something unheard of in mind: to create a plastic multi-part regiment.
A full regiment of 28mm Berserker Dwarfs!
The Vision of the Lord of the Dwarfs
Félix—known back then as the Lord of the Dwarfs—was dreaming of something unprecedented:
a multi-part plastic Berserkers regiment where each miniature, no matter how you assembled it, had brutal personality and a style of its own.
After months of hand sculpting, trips to the UK and mold testing…
The Box That Changed Everything
Finally, in 2010… the sprues arrived.
After intense preparation and assembly work, Avatars of War presented to the world:
AoWPL01 Dwarf Berserkers Regiment.
A box that changed everything.

The Art That Sealed the Legend
The box art, illustrated by Wayne England, a legend of the fantasy universe and the Golden Age, with works for Warhammer, Dungeons & Dragons, Magic: The Gathering, and Wizards of the Coast—took the release to another level.
His unmistakable stroke, so powerful and detailed, perfectly captured the old-school soul we wanted to express.
Working with him was an honor, and knowing that part of his legacy lives on in this box makes it even more special.

The forums exploded with excitement.
And a wave of emotion that, 18 years later, still leaves us speechless.
“Best. Dwarfs. Ever. Made.”
“Wow! Just wow!! Probably the best box set deal I’ve ever seen.”
“Each dwarf feels unique. This is what we’ve been waiting for.”
“This set was the reason I started painting again”.
What Wasn’t Seen
There were painting workshops organized just for this regiment.
Some printed the box illustration in A3 and hung it in their game room.
Others, after assembling them, rethought their entire army:
“They’re so good I’m rethinking my whole army.”
We knew we had something special.
But reading it from the community’s mouths… was incredible.
The Epic Retreat
In 2024, we retired the entire physical miniature line—including the plastic Berserker Regiment.
We called it the Epic Retreat.
But the clamour for the return of the plastic regiments was too strong to ignore.
And in 2025... They Returned
Because no Dwarf general deserved to be without them.
Because no Dwarf army was complete without this regiment.
Because, for us and for the community, it was a before and after.
Were You There?
If you were there... this box is a part of you.
And if you weren’t, maybe the time has come to discover why the forums once shook because of this regiment, which today is
a true classic in fantasy wargames.
Thousands of Avatars of War Berserker Dwarfs are now on battlefields and in cabinets—physical and digital—around the world,
guarding the legacy of one of the most legendary plastic regiments ever created.
As someone once said:
These Avatars of War Berserkers are the Messi of PLASTIC Dwarf miniatures.
